About the Director
Mrs. Jessica England is in her ninth year of teaching music in the Tucson area, currently teaching orchestra and choir at Sahuarita Middle School and orchestra at Wrightson Ridge School. Her past teaching assignments include band and orchestra director at Cholla High Magnet School and in the Benson Unified School District. Mrs. England earned a Master of Music from Bowling Green State University and holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Bachelor of Music in clarinet performance from Central Michigan University. Committed to growth and excellence in education, Mrs. England is a candidate for National Board Teacher Certification. As an active musician in the Tucson area, she is a clarinetist in the Tucson Repertory Orchestra and has held memberships in the Tucson Concert Band, Green Valley Concert Band, and the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Aside from her lifelong passion for music, Mrs. England most enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom, daughter, Lorelei, and their two dogs, as well as reading, hiking, and playing golf.
